I had the honour to inform you, in my letter of the 23rd of Aug:, that the L.o.G. of the Crown were considering the cases of certain Chinese fugitives, whose Extradition from Hong Kong had been applied for by your Govt., and that I should not fail to send a Communication to you as soon as their representations had been considered.
On the 16th ult., I am now in a position, M. le Ministre, to inform you of the decision of H.E. the Govr in this matter.
